German sports car specialist Porsche has unveiled the latest version of the 911 GT3 RS – now the brand’s third-most potent model. The world debut of the sports car will be held at the Geneva Motor Show early next month, but we can dive into Porsche’s online configurator right now.

To the delight of the fans, the new 911 GT3 RS will continue to use the high-speed naturally aspirated engine – 4.0-litre flat-six-cylinder engine that develops 520 hp. The sprint to 60mph is over in three seconds flat, and the GT3 RS can reach a top speed of 194mph – with the car fitted with a specially-engineered seven-speed automatic PDK transmission.

Special wheels were made for the new GT3 RS  – 21-inch wheels with 325/30 tires installed at the rear, 20-inch wheels with 265/35 tires in the front. The design of the Porsche 911 GT3 RS is wide, weight-optimized body with its classic rigid rear wing. The racing look continues into the interior with full bucket seats made of carbon to provide secure lateral support in response to high-level driving dynamics. Lightweight door panels with storage nets and opening loops, reduced sound absorption and the new lightweight rear lid further emphasize the consistency of the material choices.

If this is not enough, buyers can choose an additional package Weissach, which will add even more elements from the carbon fiber to the interior, exterior and chassis. This package also includes magnesium alloy wheels and Porsche says that in this lightweight configuration the new GT3 RS weighs only 1430 kg.

For those who want a GT3 RS ready for the track, the Clubsport package is the best option. This is a free option that will add a safety cage, a fire extinguisher, a battery switch and six-point safety belts to the car.

This latest version will be publicly unveiled at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show and prices will start from £141,346. German customers will get the model first in mid-April.
